The ECHO Global Seed Bank, based at our North America Regional Impact Center in North Fort Myers, Florida, exists to equip development workers and community leaders with the resources and training needed to strengthen local seed systems. We provide trial packets of underutilized crops and varieties that thrive in challenging tropical and subtropical environments. Just as vital, we offer practical, hands-on training in seed saving, seed banking, and appropriate technologies that promote food security, biodiversity, and seed sovereignty. Our goal is to support a thriving global network of seed banks that strengthen local resilience and expand access to options for small-scale farmers.
